Although they are called “dolls,” porcelain BJDs are works of fine art.
They are not toys and are therefore not intended for children. A porcelain ball-jointed doll is a singular jewel — a treasure to be cared for, preserved, and passed down through generations. Porcelain is a noble and enduring material: it does not wear with time, it does not lose its quality, and its painting never fades. On the contrary, as time passes, the piece becomes increasingly valuable. For this reason, a porcelain doll is also an artistic investment. The dolls I create are made exclusively with the highest-quality materials, from liquid porcelain to natural mohair used for the wigs. The internal articulation system is constructed with carbon steel and stainless-steel springs, and each joint is internally reinforced. This structure ensures exceptional durability and allows for expressive posing that echoes human posture and movement. Every stage of the creation process is carried out by me, from beginning to end: the hand sculpting, mold making, porcelain casting, long hours of kiln firing, and the careful application of multiple layers of china paint. |

Monah Soul. 2018.

The doll featured on this page is Monah Soul, created in 2018.
Monah Soul is more than a visual work. She embodies transformation. The butterfly hand-sculpted in porcelain represents the potential for change and rebirth that resides within every being. The contrast between deep black and liquid gold applied to the porcelain evokes the passage from the dense to the subtle, from the raw to the precious — an ancient and universal metaphor for human inner evolution. Interestingly, when I created Monah Soul, I did not rationally understand the full depth of her symbolism. The work was born first from intuition — from feeling, from surrender to the creative process. Only over time did I realize that this symbolic language was already present in my art long before it could be explained. Today, I understand that there is nothing to explain. Art does not ask for interpretation — it asks for presence. Collectors and admirers often share how deeply they are moved when contemplating my dolls, thanking me for the joy, beauty, and emotion they awaken. And it is precisely within this silent encounter between the artwork and the observer that everything happens. There is no need to understand. It is enough to feel. Welcome to my porcelain art page — a space where creation flows freely and essence expresses itself through form, matter, and delicacy. Feel… and allow yourself to appreciate. |
